Autumn Statement – Tenant’s Fees in England

The Chancellor has confirmed plans to ban letting agents’ fees to tenants in England. The details of this important announcement are still very unclear but the DCLG will consult ahead of bringing forward legislation.

The DCLG have confirmed a consultation on banning agents’ fees will be launched in the New Year.  The DCLG also confirmed that this will require primary legislation through an Act of Parliament.

So it is clear that it will be quite some time before the changes will be implemented.

Our Tenant’s fees are clearly displayed on this web-site in the ‘Tenant’s Guide and Fees’ section.   These fees will continue to be charged until further notice.
